Vivo has launched the second phase of its public beta program for OriginOS 7, covering 16 device models across the X, S, and iQOO series, as well as tablets. The recruitment period runs from October 29, 2026, to November 12, 2026, with no limit on the number of participants.

The company will roll out the update in batches based on the order of application. The first 5,000 users will receive the update on October 29, followed by 15,000 on October 30, 50,000 on October 31, and 100,000 on November 1. All remaining applicants will receive the update by November 2, while those applying between November 3 and 12 will receive it on the day of application.

To participate, users must first update their devices to a specific baseline version, such as 16.1.24.23.W10.V000L1 or 16.1.24.23.W10.V0103L7 for the X200 Pro. Applications are processed through the system settings menu. Vivo advises users to back up their data before proceeding, as the update is a major version release.

The company notes that the beta version may contain bugs. Users who wish to revert to OriginOS 6 can do so using an official tool, which requires a full data backup. Following the update, the system performs background optimizations, which may temporarily cause increased power consumption or device heating.
