Virtana has introduced Agentic Observability Enterprise Management, a new capability allowing its AI agents to collaborate with third-party vendor agents during IT incidents. The system supports the Model Context Protocol and the open Agent2Agent protocol, enabling integration with existing enterprise software.
The platform leverages Virtana’s System-Aware MCP Server, which provides access to over 25,000 real-time metrics, and the System Dependency Graph to map application infrastructure. According to Chief Product Officer Amitkumar Rathi, agent teams can process incident investigations in milliseconds.
Customers maintain control over agent autonomy by defining specific incident types and setting policies for agent participation. Engineers can choose to manually approve recommended fixes or require sign-off for every action, with all operations recorded in an audit log.
Virtana, formerly known as Virtual Instruments, is a venture-backed firm focused on IT infrastructure performance monitoring. In 2022, the company secured $73 million in funding from investors including Atalaya Capital Management LP and Benhamou Global Ventures.
