Prophecy Inc. has introduced DataGPT, a service designed for business analysts to execute data workflows directly within ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot. The platform provides a visual map of the processing steps, allowing users to verify and modify the logic behind each result. Workflows are backed by open code in Git, ensuring that scheduled reruns do not incur additional AI costs.
The service enables analysts to integrate data from Excel files, audit lists, SharePoint, and Snowflake’s data cloud. Once a workflow is approved, it can be scheduled to run automatically. DataGPT aims to bring shadow AI under IT oversight by ensuring that uploaded files are processed through the organization’s own data platform rather than remaining within the chatbot interface.
DataGPT is currently available via the connector marketplaces for ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot, with a standalone app version for companies that have not yet approved these tools. The product supports individual free accounts and centralized administrative deployment. Scheduled tasks can be executed on existing infrastructure, including Snowflake, Databricks, or Google BigQuery.
Founded in 2017, Prophecy has secured over $100 million in total funding. Its most recent investment was a $47 million Series B extension in January 2025, led by Smith Point Capital. The company’s client list includes major organizations such as SAP SE, HSBC Holdings plc, and Pfizer Inc.
