VinFast has officially unveiled the production version of its VF Wild pickup truck, marking the company's debut in the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) segment. The vehicle is set to launch initially in the Vietnamese market, with pre-orders opening on 25 September and running through 30 September.

The pickup features a 160 kW electric motor and a 46.4 kWh LFP battery. A petrol engine acts exclusively as a generator to charge the battery while driving. The vehicle supports 90 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 10 to 70 percent charge in 32 minutes. According to the NEDC cycle, the truck offers over 250 km of electric range and a total range exceeding 1,000 km.

Measuring 5,376 mm in length, the VF Wild is comparable in size to the Ford Ranger. It is available in a single-motor 2WD configuration with a 750 kg payload capacity. The interior includes a 10-inch touchscreen, while the exterior features 18-inch steel wheels and a flat floor. The vehicle also supports V2L bidirectional charging for external power needs.

Pricing for the VF Wild starts at VND 860 million for black, red, and white models, while the silver version is priced at VND 872 million. Customers who place a pre-order during the designated window will receive a discount of VND 61 million. VinFast has not yet provided details regarding potential export plans for the model.
