The updated Tank 500 features a new interior layout with a passenger display, a lidar sensor, and the Coffee Pilot 4.0 driver assistance system. Pre-orders in China opened on October 16, with a ¥3,000 deposit that counts as ¥9,000 toward the final purchase price. Customers can also select additional options worth up to ¥12,000.

The vehicle is equipped with the Thor-U computing chip delivering 700 TOPS and 27 sensors, including a 192-line Hesai lidar. This new sensor is 60% smaller and 50% lighter than the previous Hesai AT128 model. The interior now includes Nappa leather, stone trim, and a 22-speaker audio system, with the central and passenger screens integrated into a single panel.

The powertrain options include the Hi4-T plug-in hybrid with 310 kW and a 37.1 kWh battery, offering 110 km of electric range. The Hi4-Z variant features two electric motors, 635 kW of power, a 59.05 kWh battery, and 201 km of electric range. A traditional 3.0 V6 gasoline engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system is also available, producing 260 kW and 500 Nm of torque.

The SUV maintains its dimensions of 5078 x 1934 x 1905 mm with a 2850 mm wheelbase. Off-road capabilities are defined by a 29-degree approach angle, a 24-degree departure angle, and a 210 mm ground clearance. The exterior design remains largely unchanged, with the addition of a new Danxia Red body color.
