Venice.ai, an AI platform founded by Erik Voorhees, reduced the annual issuance of its VVV token from 2.5 million to 2 million units, effective October 1, 2026. This adjustment follows a series of cuts that have decreased total token emissions by approximately 86% since the project's launch in January 2025, when yearly issuance was set at 14 million VVV.
The platform directs 100% of new VVV emissions to stakers, with no allocations for the team or a foundation. Beyond emission reductions, the project employs a buyback and burn mechanism funded by platform revenue. Cumulative token burns have surpassed 33.7 million VVV, including a significant event associated with an airdrop in March 2025.
Venice.ai reports an annualized revenue run rate of $100 million as of August 17, 2026. In July 2026, the company completed a Series A funding round, raising $65 million at a valuation of $1 billion. The VVV token, which provides access to AI inference services, reached an all-time high price exceeding $34 in September 2026.
