Uveon and OKB SAPR have confirmed the compatibility of the Termidesk VDI 7.0.1 platform with the Secret of Special Purpose (SON) secure USB drive. The companies issued a certificate of compatibility following joint tests.
The tests demonstrated that users can access the secure partition of the USB drive within a remote session. The configuration ensures that the drive remains inaccessible from the local computer, even if it is physically connected to it.
During the testing process, the SON device was connected to a client computer running Windows or Astra Linux. The device was then redirected via Termidesk VDI to a terminal server running Astra Linux.
The test scenario involved adding only the terminal server to the list of authorized devices for the USB drive. Consequently, the local client machine, which was not on the list, could not access the secure data.
The collaboration verified several key functions, including user authentication, access policy configuration, administrator console operations, and the device event log. The systems maintained all security restrictions.
