A developer known as levi has introduced Utsuro, a project designed to run Xbox One games on Apple hardware. The software operates by bypassing traditional hardware emulation, instead executing the console's Windows-based software layer as x86-64 code on Arm chips via FEXCore. It utilizes Apple's Metal API for graphics and CoreAudio for sound processing.

Performance metrics vary by title. Minecraft: Xbox One Edition achieves 36 to 60 FPS on macOS. Sonic Mania is currently playable at approximately 57 FPS with audio. Rocket League is also functional, though it currently runs at 15 to 20 FPS with graphical artifacts and no audio support.

The installation process for Utsuro is complex. On iOS, users must sideload the application and require a JIT helper such as TrollStore or StikDebug, or a jailbroken device. Additionally, the software requires a decrypted dump of the game files. The macOS version currently requires users to build the application from the source code.
