UstarPay has selected BitGo Bank & Trust as its official banking partner to manage the custody of digital assets associated with its payment and wallet services. The partnership, announced on November 5, 2026, aims to enhance security and ensure the clear segregation of customer funds from company assets.
The collaboration focuses on maintaining user ownership of digital assets while facilitating transactions. UstarPay offers physical and virtual Visa-branded cards that allow users to spend various digital assets, including USDT, at over 80 million merchant locations. The platform performs instant currency conversion at the point of sale.
BitGo Bank & Trust operates as a federally chartered digital asset trust bank under OCC regulations. The firm utilizes cold storage technology, keeping private keys offline to mitigate security risks. BitGo has provided qualified custody services since 2013 and focuses on secure asset management for institutional clients.
The partnership follows a previous collaboration between the two companies at the TOKEN2049 event in Singapore in October 2026. UstarPay, which launched its application and virtual card services in the summer of 2026, intends to use this arrangement to provide clearer operational roles and verified custody paths for its users.
