The new UniFi Long-Range Switch from Ubiquiti is designed to simplify outdoor network deployments by extending PoE power delivery up to 800 meters when paired with compatible outdoor terminals.
The device features eight 100MbE RJ-45 ports supporting PoE+++, one 1GbE RJ-45 port, and one 1GbE SFP port. It also includes an integrated 1.3-inch touchscreen for management.
The switch offers a total PoE power budget of 630W. It can deliver up to 90W per port, with specific performance metrics of 71.3W at 100 meters and 13W at the maximum distance of 800 meters.
The UniFi Long-Range Switch 8 PoE is priced at $249. The compatible outdoor long-range terminals are sold separately for $99 each.
