The travel service Tutu has launched an AI assistant named Cap, designed to assist users with searching, booking, and paying for flights and hotels. The tool is integrated into the company's website and mobile application.
Cap processes natural language requests to organize entire trips, including route planning and destination advice. The assistant retrieves real-time data such as pricing, seat availability, schedules, and reviews directly from Tutu's internal systems rather than relying on pre-trained model memory.
In June 2026, Tutu became the first Russian travel company to launch an MCP server. This protocol allows external AI agents to access Tutu's tools for searching travel options, viewing carriage layouts, and managing bookings.
Beyond the initial purchase, the assistant provides post-booking support, including modifications and ticket returns. Users retain the option to switch to a human support specialist at any time during the interaction.
