President Donald Trump has established the Super Intelligence Force, an interagency group tasked with coordinating federal AI policy. The body includes Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton, FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson, OPM Director Scott Kupor, and Deputy Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Emil Michael.

The group aims to manage interactions between the government, tech companies, infrastructure providers, and the public. Its primary objective is to secure US leadership in superintelligence while addressing national security concerns. The inclusion of intelligence and defense officials highlights risks related to cyberattacks on critical infrastructure.

The initiative coincides with a push for industry self-regulation. Following a meeting between Trump and executives from Google, Anthropic, Meta, Nvidia, xAI, and OpenAI, these companies committed to internal control mechanisms and external audits. The new force will oversee the government response to these developments.
