Icelandic startup Treble Technologies has secured $18 million in a Series-A2 funding round. The investment was led by Paladin Capital Group, with participation from existing investors KOMPAS VC, Frumtak Ventures, and the European Innovation Council Fund.
The company provides a platform that generates synthetic audio to train artificial intelligence models for robots. By simulating physical environments and acoustic conditions, the software creates labeled datasets that help robots interpret sounds, such as speech or background noise, more effectively.
Users can upload blueprints of indoor spaces and use Python code to customize virtual environments. This process replaces the manual recording of audio samples. The company claims its pre-packaged datasets can reduce the error rate of speech recognition models by 38%.
Treble plans to allocate the new capital toward platform development and accelerating its go-to-market strategy. The software also supports parameter sweeps to optimize AI configuration settings and improve overall model accuracy.
