The Toyota bZ3X, a best-selling electric SUV in China, has been spotted testing in a right-hand drive configuration in Thailand. This development suggests that Toyota is preparing to introduce the model to international markets, potentially utilizing production facilities in Thailand for the RHD version.

Launched in March 2025, the bZ3X quickly gained traction, securing over 10,000 orders within the first hour. The vehicle is currently available in China in nine configurations, with prices ranging from ¥94,800 ($14,000) for the base model to ¥144,800 ($21,500) for the 610 Max trim.

The SUV features a 14.6-inch infotainment screen and an 8.8-inch driver display. Higher-end trims equipped with LiDAR utilize Momenta’s end-to-end R6 reinforced learning model for smart driving. The vehicle measures 4,645 mm in length, 1,885 mm in width, and 1,625 mm in height.

Toyota relies heavily on the Chinese supply chain for the bZ3X, with approximately 90% of components sourced locally, including batteries from BYD and software from Momenta. The company is shifting its strategy, with plans to produce a new Lexus electric SUV in Shanghai by next fall.
