The Aave V4 platform on the Base network recorded a significant increase in deposits of tokenized stocks issued by Coinbase. The total volume of these assets surpassed $10 million, marking a 514.5% growth over the last month.
Data from Token Terminal indicates that the rise is primarily driven by the inclusion of equities such as Alphabet, Nvidia, and Meta. These assets now represent the majority of deposits, serving as collateral for onchain lending activities.
Market participants view this trend as a positive signal for the DeFi ecosystem on Base. The growth in tokenized stock usage may influence sentiment regarding a potential Base token launch, which has a prediction deadline set for December 31, 2026.
Recent activity on the Base platform also includes high volumes for Coinbase-issued tokenized stocks, which generated $1.5 billion in DEX volume over the past 30 days. This figure represents a 313% increase compared to the previous 30-day period.
