Thredd announced a partnership with the stablecoin treasury and settlement platform Velocity on Wednesday, September 23. This collaboration aims to integrate stablecoin-based money movement directly into the existing Thredd platform infrastructure.

The initial rollout focuses on B2B and B2B2B applications. Supported use cases include stablecoin-backed card programs, cross-border payouts, global treasury management, and on-chain settlement processes.

Thredd customers gain the ability to convert between fiat currencies and stablecoins, send funds on-chain or via traditional fiat rails, and utilize stablecoins for funding and settlement. Velocity provides the necessary programmable wallet infrastructure, liquidity, and banking connectivity.

According to Velocity CEO Eric Queathem, the partnership allows businesses to leverage stablecoin rails within their existing operational environments. This approach treats stablecoins as embedded financial infrastructure rather than as standalone crypto products.
