The Letter Company has launched Letterpress-1, a coding agent designed for growth engineering. The tool monitors market signals, such as search rankings and competitor activity, to generate pull requests for marketing sites hosted in git. It operates by reading the site, planning changes in a sandbox, and providing preview links for user approval before merging.

The platform offers six interfaces, including a web portal, a Slack app, and a CLI. An integrated IDE allows users to edit live pages via a shortcut, triggering automatic pull requests. Developers can also access an MCP server with a registry of 760 tools, enabling integration with other agents like Claude Code or Codex.

The company introduces four primitives for AI agents: Kernels, Letterbases, Visitors, and Mailers. These features are intended to replace external tools like Semrush, G2, and Instantly by tracking competitor sitemaps and automating site updates. The system also monitors visitor data and manages email workflows.

Pricing is based on a shared token pool where one token equals $0.01. Subscription plans range from $100 for 10,000 tokens to $2,500 for 400,000 tokens. Enterprise tiers start at 2 million tokens per month at a discounted rate. Each pull request typically consumes 150 to 900 tokens, resulting in costs between $1.50 and $9.00.
