The market for 4K OLED gaming monitors has seen significant price reductions, with some 32-inch 240Hz models now available for under $700. For instance, the ASRock Phantom Gaming PG032UFS is currently priced at $596, while the MSI 321UPX is available for $799. A year ago, these models were priced significantly higher, with the ASRock unit exceeding $1,000 in late 2025.

The MSI MPG 321URX, which the author uses, currently retails for $634, down from $900 in early 2025. These displays offer 4K resolution (3840x2160) and high pixel density, reaching approximately 138 PPI on a 32-inch screen. They also provide superior color coverage, including 99% DCI-P3, 137% sRGB, and 96% aRGB, compared to traditional IPS panels.

Modern OLED monitors utilize technologies like pixel shifting and refresh cycles to mitigate burn-in risks, though the issue remains a consideration for users working with static content. Manufacturers such as Dell, Alienware, MSI, Corsair, Asus, LG, and Acer offer warranties that may cover burn-in, whereas other brands treat it as normal wear.

For competitive esports gaming, lower-resolution panels like 24-inch 1080p displays with high refresh rates may still be preferred over 4K OLEDs. Additionally, driving 4K at 240Hz requires significant GPU power, often necessitating the use of upscaling technologies like Nvidia DLSS or AMD FSR to maintain high frame rates in demanding titles.
