E Ink has officially introduced its latest color electronic paper technology, Kaleido 4. The new panel offers significant improvements in color gamut, which has increased two-fold to over 40K. Additionally, the display features a 15% boost in white screen reflectivity and a 50% increase in contrast compared to previous generations.

The technology incorporates a new Oxide TFT backplane that supports higher driving voltages for faster refresh rates. Combined with updated algorithms, Kaleido 4 enables video playback at 18FPS. The company also integrated a redesigned front-light system to enhance color accuracy and image clarity.

Hanvon Technology is the first manufacturer to adopt the new panel for its M10C second-generation color e-ink office tablet. The device features an 8-core Qualcomm processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. It also includes an 8,192-level pressure-sensitive passive stylus and a micro-etched AG black tempered glass panel.
