Texas Instruments estimates that each humanoid robot will require between $500 and $1,000 worth of its semiconductor components. The company anticipates a significant increase in robotics production by 2027.

The firm is focusing on three product lines for the robotics market: gallium nitride power devices, C2000 series real-time microcontrollers, and precision analog components. These parts are designed to improve efficiency in motor joints and hands.

Texas Instruments has released reference designs TIDA-010979 and TIDA-010992 to support multi-axis control. The company currently supplies components to Apptronik and is integrating its IWR6243 mmWave radar sensor into the NVIDIA Jetson Thor platform.

The company began deploying UBTECH Walker S2 robots on its own production lines between late 2025 and early 2026. UBTECH has indicated plans to expand its utilization of Texas Instruments components in future projects.
