Tencent Video for HarmonyOS has introduced the A2A (App-to-App) capability, allowing the Celia assistant to interact directly with the application's internal agent. Users can now invoke Celia while watching content to receive personalized recommendations, such as trending series or new releases, without leaving the player.
The integration utilizes the openJiuwen A2A framework, which standardizes how the system assistant communicates with third-party application agents. Celia acts as a central hub for routing tasks, enabling the Tencent Video AI assistant to answer questions about plot details, characters, or background information directly within the app interface.
The architecture prioritizes data privacy by processing user preferences and viewing history locally on the device, minimizing data transmission to the cloud. This approach reduces latency and enhances responsiveness for the end user.
Developers benefit from the ability to reuse existing UI components, as Celia can launch native app interfaces through cards rather than providing plain text responses. This ensures a consistent user experience both inside and outside the application.
The system supports a loosely coupled model where application agents can register and update their capabilities independently. This reduces the need for custom interface development and lowers the barrier for other partners to join the HarmonyOS AI ecosystem.
