SVOLT Energy has officially launched mass production of its Dragon Scale Armor hybrid solid-liquid battery packs. The first batch of these 100 kWh units was manufactured at the company's production facility located in Changzhou, China.
The hybrid battery design utilizes both liquid and solid electrolytes to facilitate ion transfer between electrodes. SVOLT positions this technology as a practical solution for electric vehicles, particularly those currently using lithium-ion systems.
The company views this hybrid approach as a viable bridge to fully solid-state batteries, which still require further development before large-scale manufacturing becomes feasible. SVOLT previously identified 2026 as the year for the rapid adoption of these hybrid power units.
