SVOLT Energy Technology has officially started mass production of its 100kWh Dragon Armor hybrid solid-liquid supercharging battery packs. The first units of these battery systems have already rolled off the production line at the company's facility in Changzhou.

The company maintains that hybrid solid-liquid technology is not merely a transitional solution for electric vehicles. SVOLT expects this architecture to remain a long-term mainstream path, particularly within the ternary battery sector, and anticipates widespread adoption starting this year.

The industry terminology for these systems is becoming standardized. A national standard draft, introduced in December, recognizes semi-solid batteries as an acceptable term for hybrid solid-liquid batteries, while full solid-state batteries are classified as solid-state batteries.
