Strive, led by CEO Matt Cole, currently holds 43,000 BTC as of October 26, 2026. The company aims to become the second-largest corporate Bitcoin treasury by the end of 2026, trailing behind Strategy. To surpass the current runner-up, Metaplanet, which holds 44,000 BTC, Strive needs to acquire an additional 1,001 BTC.
The competitive landscape for corporate Bitcoin holdings includes Twenty One Capital, which holds 43,514 BTC and currently sits between Strive and Metaplanet. Strive has significantly increased its holdings from approximately 7,500 BTC at the end of 2025 to its current level, including a recent purchase of 6,182 BTC for approximately $511 million in October 2026.
To fund these acquisitions, Strive has avoided traditional debt, opting instead for perpetual preferred stock offerings with a 15% dividend rate and warrant exercises. These financial instruments have generated hundreds of millions of dollars. Meanwhile, Metaplanet reported a more modest growth of 1,000 BTC during the third quarter of 2026.
