Stellantis Pro One and UQI Robotics have unveiled the BOW, an autonomous electric delivery concept, at the IAA Transportation 2026 exhibition in Hanover. The vehicle, which stands for Box-on-Wheels, is designed specifically for driverless cargo transport without a traditional cab or driver seat.
The platform features an integrated sensor suite and cameras, including a roof-mounted unit. Stellantis is exploring potential use cases in controlled environments such as airports, hospitals, and factory sites, where routes can be mapped and operating conditions are more predictable than in public city traffic.
The project focuses on designing a commercial vehicle from the ground up for autonomous operation rather than retrofitting existing van models. By removing the driver's cabin, the entire internal space is repurposed for cargo, aiming to optimize logistics by decoupling operations from driver working hours.
Stellantis has not released production specifications, including battery capacity, payload, range, or charging times. The project remains in the development phase with no established production timeline, serving as a testbed for autonomous technology and commercial application viability.
