SpaceX has launched a new retail program in the United States, allowing independent stores to sell Starlink equipment. The initiative targets small hardware, sports, and farm supply shops to increase the availability of satellite internet in remote and rural areas.
Interested retailers must submit an application via the Starlink website. The program covers the Starlink V4 home antenna and the portable Starlink Mini. While stores earn a commission on sales, SpaceX retains control over internet activation, subscription payments, and customer support.
Participating shops can request branded display stands for their locations. SpaceX evaluates applications based on store count, customer traffic, and placement visibility. The company aims to integrate small businesses into a network that already includes major retailers like Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and Home Depot.
This expansion strategy supports the upcoming deployment of V3 satellites, which are designed to boost system capacity. SpaceX needs to grow its subscriber base to utilize these new resources effectively. The company is also utilizing a referral program to attract new users.
