Sony has released the WH-1000XM4C noise-canceling headphones, a revised version of the classic WH-1000XM4. The new model retains the four-way foldable hinge structure and ergonomic design, allowing users to fold the device into a compact hard-shell case for easier travel and commuting.

The internal hardware has been modernized. The headphones now feature a USB-C high-speed charging port that supports fast charging and enables lossless audio direct connection via USB-C. A classic 3.5mm analog audio interface is also maintained for compatibility.

The device supports next-generation Bluetooth multipoint connection, allowing seamless switching between laptops, tablets, and smartphones. The microphone system now incorporates AI noise reduction algorithms and deep neural network beamforming technology to improve voice call clarity in noisy environments.

The headphones continue to use the QN1 high-definition noise cancellation processor and a dual-noise sensor architecture. The sound tuning has been updated for tighter low frequencies and clearer vocals. With active noise cancellation enabled, the battery life lasts approximately 30 hours.
