Sollers plans to launch full-cycle production of 1.5-liter gasoline turbocharged engines at its Alabuga facility by the end of autumn. The new unit, which delivers 136 horsepower, will join the existing lineup of 2-liter and 2.7-liter diesel engines currently manufactured at the site.

The primary application for the new engine is the Sollers SF1, a light commercial vehicle available in van and minibus configurations. According to Adil Shirinov, chairman of the board of directors, the company intends to integrate this engine into other models within its portfolio in the future.

The facility in Alabuga operates with a total annual capacity of up to 200,000 engines. While the company is exploring the possibility of supplying these units to third-party Russian automakers, specific production volumes for the new gasoline engine have not yet been disclosed.
