The Avtozavod Saint Petersburg facility, formerly owned by Nissan, is set to begin a major production line upgrade on October 26. For the past year, the plant has been assembling Lada Iskra vehicles using a semi-knocked-down method, following the earlier production of X-Cite models.

Simultaneously, the AGR Group intends to restart engine production at the former Hyundai WIA site near Sestroretsk in 2027. While the specific engine models remain undisclosed, the company is already producing 1.5-liter Chery engines at its facility in Kaluga.

The AGR Group currently manages the former Hyundai plant, where it assembles TENET Plus L4 vehicles using the semi-knocked-down method. These upcoming upgrades and production plans signal a shift in the operational strategy of the company's Russian manufacturing assets.
