The Solana blockchain has reached a milestone of $5 trillion in stablecoin transaction volume for the year 2026. This result was achieved with two months left in the calendar year, marking a significant increase from the $3 trillion recorded throughout 2025.
Data shows that Solana currently accounts for approximately 5% of the total global stablecoin supply. Despite this share, the network maintains a high level of transaction activity. The growth in volume reflects increased adoption and usage of the blockchain for stablecoin transfers.
Recent network developments include the activation of the Alpenglow upgrade, which aims to reduce transaction finality time to 150 milliseconds. Additionally, the network saw a 104% surge in non-vote transactions during the third quarter of 2026, totaling 8.92 billion transactions.
Market participants are monitoring how these performance metrics and potential regulatory updates from the SEC may influence the ecosystem. Future trends will also depend on strategic partnerships, such as those involving Samsung, and the ongoing impact of technical network enhancements.
