Solana Labs has introduced Leap, a new mobile application currently in beta, designed to facilitate the trading of tokenized stocks, ETFs, metals, currencies, and cryptocurrencies. The platform enables 24/7 trading by utilizing blockchain-based tokens that track the value of traditional assets.

At the current beta stage, Leap does not charge platform fees, requiring users to cover only network and routing costs. Future plans include implementing platform fees, a portion of which will be allocated to the buyback and burning of SOL tokens, while another segment will support a referral program.

The application integrates infrastructure and data services from several Solana-based providers, including Jupiter for trade routing, Helius for infrastructure, and Birdeye and Tokens for market data. The interface includes features for tracking portfolio profit and loss, as well as breakeven metrics.

The launch follows historical data showing significant trading volume for tokenized equities on the Solana network. The company notes that access to specific assets remains subject to regional restrictions and regulatory compliance, and the app is currently in a testing phase.
