The Slurptop cyberdeck, created by a modder known as Slurp Burgers, integrates the motherboard of a GMKtec M5 Ultra mini PC. Unlike many DIY projects that rely on Raspberry Pi, this device features an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processor. The internal configuration utilizes the mini PC's three front USB Type-C ports to connect the display and peripherals.
The chassis is a custom 3D-printed shell housing a columnar-stagger ergonomic keyboard. The input system includes MX-style switches, SA profile keycaps, a central num pad, and a trackball located at the base of the unit. The design prioritizes modularity and custom hardware integration over standard laptop configurations.
Power is supplied by a swappable 24 V Kobalt power tool battery, requiring custom circuitry for compatibility. According to the creator, the device provides approximately five hours of battery life during light productivity tasks such as word processing. Users can extend this runtime by utilizing a larger 8 Ah battery pack.
