Sitronics KT has completed sea trials of the Strannik 575, an unmanned logistics boat. The tests took place in the Gulf of Finland at the Primorskaya educational and scientific base of the Saint Petersburg State Marine Technical University.
The trials focused on autonomy and system reliability under various conditions, including signal loss or instability. Engineers tested navigation and autonomous control systems, optical video analysis, obstacle avoidance algorithms, and the accuracy of following set coordinates.
The vessel's stability with varying loads was checked, along with its ability to enter harbors and hold positions at piers. The team also verified the transition to remote control mode. The Strannik 575 is the second vessel in the company's civilian logistics line for inland waterways and coastal waters.
The boat features a hull length of 5.7 meters, a payload capacity of up to 1 ton, and a cruising speed of 50 km/h. It uses a proprietary autonomous navigation system that analyzes navigation data, surrounding environment, and the speed of other vessels to ensure safety.
The vessel will be used by the Election Commission of the Arkhangelsk region to transport voting ballots for September elections. This deployment is part of an agreement between AFK Sistema and the Central Election Commission of Russia, signed by Vladimir Yevtushenkov and Ella Pamfilova.
