SiMa.ai has secured $150 million in a Series C funding round, bringing its total capital raised to $500 million. The company is now valued at $1.45 billion, marking a 51% increase from its previous valuation of $960 million following a Series B round in July 2025.

Founded in 2018 by Krishna Rangasayee, the company develops chips and software for edge AI applications, including drones, robots, and automotive systems. Its second-generation chip, Modalix, is currently in production using TSMC’s 6-nanometre process.

The company recently launched Palette Neat, an open-source agentic software environment designed to accelerate application deployment. SiMa.ai claims its hardware offers twice the performance of Nvidia’s Jetson Orin family while consuming one-fifth of the power.

New funding will support the development of next-generation hardware, which is expected to launch in the first half of 2028. These future designs will provide 1,000 dense TOPS and will be available as licensable machine-learning designs, chiplets, and systems on a chip.
