Siemens has introduced the RapidSBx switchboard, a new power distribution solution tailored for EV charging infrastructure and commercial electrical needs. The product is built upon the existing Siemens SB switchboard platform and meets UL 891 standards for safety and performance.
The switchboard features a compact design with a NEMA 3R outdoor enclosure, making it suitable for diverse environments ranging from airports and shopping centers to remote locations. It includes customizable 3 VA branch breaker options and is designed for efficient installation.
Safety features integrated into the RapidSBx include seismic rating, tamper resistance, and arc mitigation compliance. The unit is certified by the Electric Utility Service Equipment Requirements Committee and is compatible with NEVI standards.
The product is currently available for purchase through Siemens channel partners and distributors across the United States.
