The Shvabe holding and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) have announced a partnership to develop next-generation energy-efficient electronics and photonics. The collaboration focuses on creating advanced materials, including those with atomic-scale layers, to improve processors, memory modules, and sensors.

MIPT researchers will handle the development of new materials and prototypes, while Shvabe specialists will focus on adapting these solutions for industrial manufacturing. This initiative operates under the framework of the World-Class Research Center for Advanced Microelectronics.

Beyond technical development, the partnership includes joint educational programs and professional training. The parties plan to organize scientific seminars, conferences, exhibitions, and hackathons to foster knowledge exchange and prepare specialists for high-tech production roles.

The cooperation builds on an existing relationship between MIPT and Shvabe subsidiaries, such as the Orion Research and Production Association and the Polus Research Institute. Graduates from MIPT departments based at these facilities are already involved in industrial projects.
