Fireblocks has officially denied reports claiming that Visa is in advanced stages of acquiring the company. The statement follows an Axios report on October 22, 2026, which suggested a potential deal valued at approximately $2.5 billion.

The proposed valuation of $2.5 billion represents a significant decrease from the company's peak. In January 2022, Fireblocks raised $550 million during a Series E funding round, which valued the firm at $8 billion.

Since its inception in 2018, Fireblocks has secured over $1 billion in total funding. The company currently provides custody and wallet infrastructure to more than 2,500 institutional clients.

Visa currently utilizes Fireblocks' technology for over 160 card programs linked to stablecoins and supports the company's USDC settlement pilots. In September 2025, Fireblocks also introduced a stablecoin payments network featuring more than 40 participants.
