Seres Group has announced a shift in the operational model for the AITO brand under the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance framework. Starting September 15, Seres will take the lead in product definition, design, marketing, retail channels, and service systems, while Huawei will continue to provide support and empowerment.

Kang Bo, Vice President of Seres, stated that the company plans to expand its product lineup beyond SUVs. The automaker intends to enter the sedan and MPV segments at an opportune time, focusing on creating products with scale and long-term competitiveness. Currently, the AITO range includes the M5, M6, M7, M8, and M9 models.

According to industry sources, the retail strategy for Huawei-affiliated stores will change starting January 1, 2025. Stores will be split into two categories: those exclusively selling AITO vehicles and those offering a mix of other brands within the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance. This transition is expected to be fully completed by January 1, 2027.
