Segway-Ninebot and Michelin signed a strategic partnership agreement on October 23 in Changzhou. The collaboration focuses on original equipment manufacturing, tire research and development for electric two-wheelers, and the expansion of after-sales service networks.

The companies plan to optimize tire technology for electric two-wheelers, specifically targeting improved grip, durability, and noise reduction. They will also conduct joint testing to adapt products to various road conditions and market requirements across different regions.

A key aspect of the agreement is the establishment of dedicated Michelin zones within Segway-Ninebot service centers. These locations will offer tire sales, installation, pressure monitoring, and wear inspections, integrating tire maintenance into the standard vehicle service process.

This partnership moves beyond traditional supply agreements by creating an integrated ecosystem. By combining joint R&D with in-store professional services, the companies aim to standardize tire maintenance and improve the synergy between vehicle performance and tire quality.
