Madrid-based venture capital firm Seaya has successfully closed its new fund, Seaya Nova, at €600 million. The fundraising process for this vehicle was completed in six months. The fund is supported by the European Investment Fund under the European Tech Champions Initiative, alongside various institutional investors, corporate partners, and family offices.
Seaya Nova focuses on growth-stage European technology companies. The strategy involves leading or co-leading investment rounds from Series B to Series D. The fund plans to deploy between €20 million and €50 million per company, targeting businesses with established models and global growth potential.
The new fund is led by Seaya founder Beatriz Gonzalez and Managing Partner Vinoth Jayakumar. Jayakumar joins the firm following a decade of experience in European growth investing, with a portfolio that includes companies such as Revolut, Wise, and ICEYE. His appointment aligns with the opening of a new Seaya office in London.
The launch of Seaya Nova is part of a broader wave of European venture capital activity in 2026. Recent market data indicates that several firms, including Kembara, Samaipata, Molten Ventures, Mouro Capital, 2150, and SlateVC, have collectively raised approximately €2.31 billion for various technology-focused funds.
Seaya was established in 2013 and operates three distinct investment strategies. These include Seaya Ventures for early-stage startups, Seaya Andromeda for impact-focused investments, and the newly launched Seaya Nova for growth-stage companies. The firm previously closed its Seaya Andromeda fund at €300 million in 2024.
