Sber has updated its GigaIDE 2026.1 environment to include support for the Go programming language. This feature is available for free within the Community edition of the software.
The Go plugin provides developers with code analysis, debugging via Delve, dependency management, and test execution. It also includes a Go Monitor tool for tracking CPU load, memory usage, and garbage collection metrics, though monitoring features are restricted to the Pro version.
GigaIDE 2026.1 now features a unified distribution model where capabilities are determined by the user's license. The platform supports various languages, including Java, Python, C#, and JavaScript frameworks like React.
The current Go implementation has specific limitations, including a lack of support for cgo, assembler, and template engines. The company plans to prioritize future development based on user feedback regarding these tools.
