Sanofi Russia has migrated its core IT infrastructure to a hybrid geo-distributed cloud platform provided by Linx Cloud. The project was initiated to replace aging server hardware and align with the company's global cloud transformation strategy. The selection of the provider followed a competitive bidding process.
The deployment includes a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) spanning two data centers to ensure business continuity. Linx Cloud implemented cross-site backup procedures using S3 object storage for immutable data copies. The infrastructure is fully compliant with Russian data localization requirements, specifically the 152-FZ law.
The new setup integrates with the customer's global network perimeter while maintaining dedicated infrastructure for server and network equipment. According to Pavel Karelin, head of IT at Sanofi Russia, the project has improved backup processes and system resilience, validated through successful DRP testing.
Currently, the teams from Sanofi and Linx Cloud are collaborating on optimizing operational IT processes. They are also evaluating the potential integration of artificial intelligence tools to further enhance infrastructure efficiency.
