According to information shared by Evan Blass on the X platform, Samsung is preparing to unveil its new Galaxy Tab S12 series on October 17. The lineup is expected to feature two distinct models, the Galaxy Tab S12+ and the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, continuing the company's focus on large-screen productivity devices.
Both tablets will reportedly be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. This processor is built on a 3nm process and features an 8-core architecture with a peak clock speed of 4.21GHz. The hardware configuration aims to provide significant performance capabilities for the upcoming flagship series.
In terms of display specifications, the Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to feature a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, while the S12 Ultra will likely sport a larger 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Samsung continues to prioritize high-end screen technology for its tablet offerings.
The release strategy suggests that Samsung will skip a standard version of the Galaxy Tab S12 this year. This decision aligns with the company's recent pattern of alternating flagship tablet releases, following the launch of the S10 and S11 series in previous years.
