Samsung is reportedly planning to equip the South Korean versions of the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra with Qualcomm processors. According to industry leaks, the Pro model will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip, while the Ultra variant is expected to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.
The decision to favor Qualcomm chips for these flagship devices is attributed to financial constraints. Reports suggest that Samsung is currently prioritizing cost reduction across its product design and component selection processes, which influences the hardware strategy for the upcoming S27 series.
Meanwhile, the standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ models are expected to rely on the Exynos 2700 processor in most global markets, including Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe, Latin America, and South Korea. The North American market remains the exception, where these models may continue to feature Qualcomm hardware.
