Rumors regarding Samsung's withdrawal from the Hong Kong major appliance market have emerged, following reports that refrigerators and washing machines are listed as sold out on the company's local website. Sources indicate that the subsidiary began preparations for this exit one to two months ago.

Staff at the local retailer Fortress confirmed that Samsung officially ceased its major appliance sales in Hong Kong on August 31. The company stated that its local operations remain stable, though management is actively adjusting the product portfolio to align with current market conditions and consumer preferences.

Samsung Hong Kong is now reallocating its operational resources to focus on core categories, including televisions, monitors, audio equipment, commercial displays, and mobile communication devices. The company confirmed it will continue to provide after-sales support, maintenance, and repair services for previously sold appliances.
