According to M.Video, the Russian smartphone market saw 15.2 million units sold during the first 37 weeks of 2026, totaling 390.6 ₽ billion. Compared to the same period in 2025, sales volume dropped by 11.7% in units and 5% in monetary value.

Samsung has overtaken Apple to become the leader in the Russian market by revenue. Both Samsung and Honor recorded growth in both unit sales and monetary terms, bucking the general market decline. The top five brands by revenue also include Apple, Redmi, and Realme.

In terms of unit sales, the market leaders are Redmi, followed by Samsung, Realme, Honor, and Apple. The average price of a smartphone sold in Russia rose by 7.6% to 25.8 ₽ thousand. Analysts note that the slower decline in monetary volume compared to unit sales is driven by this price increase.

Market experts observe a shift in consumer demand toward Android-based devices, which offer a wider variety of models across different price segments. Buyers are increasingly prioritizing brands that provide a balance of features and optimal value for money.
