Regulatory filings indicate that Samsung will maintain its existing charging strategies for the upcoming Galaxy S27 series. The standard Galaxy S27 model is expected to support 25W wired charging, marking the seventh consecutive generation for the base flagship to retain this power level since the Galaxy S20 series.
The Galaxy S27+ will continue to feature 45W wired charging, a specification it has maintained since the Galaxy S22+ model. Meanwhile, the high-end Galaxy S27 Ultra and the new Galaxy S27 Pro are anticipated to support 60W wired charging, consistent with previous Ultra iterations.
Despite the static charging speeds, Samsung is reportedly integrating silicon-carbon battery technology to improve energy density. The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to house a 5700mAh battery, with the new Galaxy S27 Pro also set to receive an increased capacity compared to previous models.
Samsung will continue its current retail policy by excluding power adapters from the box. Customers will only receive a USB-C cable and must purchase a compatible charger separately to achieve maximum charging speeds. The lineup will consist of four models: S27, S27+, S27 Pro, and S27 Ultra.
