Samsung is preparing to launch its Galaxy S27 flagship smartphone series early next year, which is expected to feature the proprietary Exynos 2700 processor. According to reports from South Korean media, the chip has outperformed Qualcomm's latest flagship silicon in internal performance benchmarks conducted by Samsung.

During internal testing, Samsung utilized a Xiaomi 18 Pro Max device to evaluate the Exynos 2700. The results indicate that the chip surpasses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 for Galaxy in both CPU and GPU tasks. In Geekbench 6.5, the Exynos 2700 achieved a multi-core score of approximately 13,000, compared to 11,000 for the Qualcomm equivalent, marking a 20% lead.

The performance advantage extends to Geekbench 7.0, where the Samsung processor leads by 15%. When compared to the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 6, the lead increases to 44% and 36% respectively. In graphical benchmarks, the Exynos 2700 demonstrated a 20% higher peak performance in demanding games and a 5% lead in standard 3D rendering tasks.

The Exynos 2700 is designed by Samsung's System LSI division. The company plans to manufacture the chip using its second-generation 2nm process, known as SF2P. Samsung also intends to implement improved heat sink packaging technology to manage thermal output and further optimize the chip's sustained performance.
