Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Buds On, the company's first open-ear wireless headphones. The device features an ear-hook design intended for long-term comfort during commutes, office work, and outdoor activities. Unlike traditional in-ear models, this open acoustic structure allows users to remain aware of their surroundings, such as traffic or conversations, while listening to audio.
A key feature of the new headphones is the deep integration of Google Gemini Live. This AI assistant enables real-time voice interaction, allowing users to perform tasks like checking information, managing schedules, setting reminders, and controlling devices without needing to access their phones. The system supports continuous, natural dialogue.
The device includes a multi-microphone array paired with AI-powered noise reduction to improve voice clarity during calls in noisy environments. The headphones also support the latest Bluetooth standards for fast pairing with Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and other compatible devices, including seamless switching between multiple terminals.
Samsung has implemented a new power management system for the Galaxy Buds On. While specific battery life depends on usage patterns and enabled features, the company states the device is capable of all-day use, with the included charging case providing additional power. Global availability, pricing, and release dates will be announced by region.
