Salesforce has reached an agreement to acquire Rune Technologies for $375 million in cash and stock. The startup specializes in AI software designed to assist the U.S. military with logistics management and supply chain forecasting in field environments.

The deal strengthens the position of Missionforce, a Salesforce business unit focused on national security. Since its launch last year, Missionforce has seen 80 percent year-over-year growth, bolstered by a 10-year contract with the U.S. Army valued at $5.6 billion.

Rune Technologies was founded in 2024 and has secured $30 million in funding from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Point72 Ventures, and IQT. Its last valuation reached $127 million during a Series A round led by Human Capital.

This acquisition follows a series of recent deals by Salesforce. The company previously agreed to purchase AI agent platform Fin for $3.6 billion and Qualified for $1.2 billion. It also signed an agreement to acquire Listen Labs.
